Learning Analytics

Are you curious about how data and AI can enhance teaching, learning, and decision‑making? Whether you support students, design courses, or simply want to understand data, learning analytics provides practical tools to uncover meaningful insights. 

In this hands‑on workshop, you’ll learn the essentials of learning analytics through guided activities, real course data, and easy‑to‑use tools like Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and several free generative AI platforms. The session introduces core concepts such as interpreting data, visualizing insights, and understanding the roles and stakeholders involved in analytics work. 

Designed for anyone with little to no experience with data analytics, this workshop will help you build confidence with new data skills, experiment with AI tools, communicate results effectively, and grow a network of colleagues to support your future. 

Participants are recommended to bring their own laptop.

What You'll Learn

  • Explain what learning analytics is, outline key data processes, and recognize practical applications. 
  • Use analytics technologies and reporting tools to gather, filter, and interpret learning data, including how AI is reshaping the data landscape. 
  • Perform a predictive analysis with sample data to forecast learner outcomes, while evaluating ethical and privacy implications. 

Credly Digital Badge

Upon successful completion of the workshop, participants will earn a digital Learning Analytics Credly badge.

Who Should Register

Designed for anyone with little to no experience with data analytics who is curious about how data and AI can enhance teaching, learning, and decision‑making.

Participants will benefit from a supportive and hands-on environment. No prior experience is needed.
